Dermaplaning Explained: What to Know Before Your First Treatment

What happens during dermaplaning, who it may suit and how to look after your skin afterwards.
What it is
Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation treatment. A sterile blade is used to gently remove surface dead skin cells and fine facial hair.
Before you book
Let your practitioner know about any skin conditions, medications or recent treatments. Some may mean dermaplaning isn't right for you, or isn't right yet.
Afterwards
Skin can feel sensitive. Keep things simple for a few days, skip strong actives and wear SPF every day.
